Past simple Passive
S + was/were + V3
หรืออธิบายได้ว่า
Subject (ผู้ถูกกระทำ) + was/were + V3 (Past Participle) + by + Object (ผู้กระทำ)
- was ใช้กับประธานเอกพจน์ (I, he, she, it, a book)
- were ใช้กับประธานพหูพจน์ (you, we, they, books)
- V3 คือช่องที่ 3 ของคำกริยา เช่น beaten, bitten, built, eaten, ,found, stolen, taught
- by + Object เป็นการเน้นว่าใครเป็นผู้กระทำ
- We were bitten by mosquitoes almost every night.
เราถูกยุงกัดเกือบทุกคืน
- The cake was baked by my mother. เค้กถูกอบโดยแม่ของฉัน
- The car was repaired by the mechanic. รถยนต์ถูกซ่อมโดยช่างซ่อมรถ
- The book was written by a famous author. หนังสือเล่มนี้ถูกเขียนโดยนักเขียนชื่อดัง
- The new song was sung by him. เพลงใหม่ถูกร้องโดยเขา
- The picture was drawn by my sister. ภาพนี้ถูกวาดโดยน้องสาวของฉัน
- The house was built by my grandfather. บ้านหลังนี้ถูกสร้างโดยปู่ของฉัน
- The letter was delivered by the postman. จดหมายถูกนำส่งโดยบุรุษไปรษณีย์
- The windows were broken by the storm. หน้าต่างถูกทำให้แตกโดยพายุ
- The reports were finished by the team. รายงานถูกทำเสร็จโดยทีม
- The delicious food was cooked by the chef. อาหารอร่อยถูกปรุงโดยเชฟ
- The garden was decorated by her. สวนถูกตกแต่งโดยเธอ
- The documents were signed by the manager. เอกสารถูกเซ็นโดยผู้จัดการ
- The prize was won by the fastest runner. รางวัลถูกชนะโดยนักวิ่งที่เร็วที่สุด/นักวิ่งที่เร็วที่สุดได้รางวัลนี้ไป
- The old building was demolished by the company. อาคารเก่าถูกรื้อถอนโดยบริษัท
- The movie was directed by a talented filmmaker. ภาพยนตร์ถูกกำกับโดยผู้สร้างภาพยนตร์ที่มีพรสวรรค์

- The prisoner was bound hand and foot.
เชลยถูกจับมือและเท้า
- She was found unconscious and bleeding.
เธอถูกพบว่าหมดสติและมีเลือดออก
- Her body was later found hidden in the bushes.
ต่อมาร่างของเธอถูกพบซ่อนอยู่ในพุ่มไม้
- A takeover bid for the airline was launched today.
มีการเปิดตัวการประมูลการครอบครองของสายการบินในวันนี้
- The parcel was wrappedShe was found in plain brown paper.
พัสดุถูกห่อด้วยกระดาษสีน้ำตาลธรรมดา
- Illegal drugs were found in the singer’s luggage.
ยาเสพติดที่ผิดกฎหมาย ถูกค้นพบในกระเป๋าเดินทางของนักร้องคนนั้น
- His secretary was instructed to cancel all his engagements.
เลขานุการของเขาได้รับคำสั่งให้ยกเลิกภารกิจทั้งหมดของเขา
- He was push to the ground and handcuffed even though his head was bleeding.
เขาถูกผลักลงกับพื้นและใส่กุญแจมือแม้ว่าศีรษะของเขาจะมีเลือดไหล
